Greater Peterborough UTC is seeking a Deputy SENDCo to lead inclusion and SEND provision, working with the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCo to ensure timely, effective student support. You will liaise with families, teachers, and external agencies while shaping a SEND-focused environment aligned to the school’s vision.

The role offers strong professional development within Meridian Trust’s multi-academy context and opportunities to lead across SEND, behaviour, and pastoral areas.

Qualificações

• Experience of SEND teaching.
• Thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
• Understanding of the Graduated Approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review).
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and co-ordinate inclusive practice across SEND.
• Support pastoral and behaviour leadership through SEND perspective.
• Assess pupils' needs and identify intervention programmes.
• Assist the SENDCo with Exam Arrangements.
• Collaborate with staff to implement provision across the school.
• Support students to develop skills, independence and confidence for adulthood.
