Job summary

Woodbridge High School in Woodford Green is a successful, fully comprehensive school with a diverse intake and a strong ethos of kindness, inclusion and excellence. We are seeking a Deputy SENDCO to join our inclusion team for September 2026.

The successful applicant will hold a SENDCO qualification (NASENCO or NPQ for SENDCOs) or be willing to complete it within the coming year, and may contribute a small teaching allocation. The post offers a TL R 1a and MS-UPS (OLA).

Qualifications

• Experience teaching pupils with SEN in mainstream schools.
• Experience leading staff development on inclusion.
• Experience in a multi-cultural school with a commitment to equal opportunities.
• Ability to have a small mainstream teaching allocation.
• Willing to complete NASENCO/NPQ SENDCO within 12 months.
• Willing to undertake exam access arrangement qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEN/Inclusion agendas within a mainstream school.
• Support staff development related to inclusion.
• Promote equality and opportunity across the school.
• Manage a small teaching allocation alongside SEN duties.
