Job summary

Career Teachers UK is seeking a Deputy SENDCo for a mainstream Secondary School in London. You will support the SENDCo in strategic leadership, coordinate interventions and liaise with parents and external professionals to raise SEND outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree and relevant SEND experience, with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to engage in CPD. UK residency is required to apply.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree Level; QTS not essential but an advantage.
  • Previous relevant experience essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to understand all relevant CPD.
  • Must be resident in the United Kingdom to apply.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Deputy SENDCo to support the SENDCo in leading and developing high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Based within Mainstream Secondary setting.

Working closely with teaching staff, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies, you will help ensure that all students with SEND achieve their full academic, social and emotional potential. The role may include a teaching commitment or be non-teaching, depending on the school’s structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the SENDCo in the strategic leadership and management of SEND provision.
