Job summary

The Bishop of Winchester Academy in Bournemouth is seeking a Deputy SENCo to lead and support SEND provision within a thriving Church of England school. The successful candidate will have degree-level qualifications in Psychology/SEN/Child Development, English and Maths GCSE at C or higher, and experience with EHCPs and multi-agency working.

This full-time role is 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), with a salary of £26,466.48 to £28,662.25 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Degree level in Psychology, SEN or Child Development.
  • GCSE English and Maths at C grade or higher.
  • Commitment to inclusion and meeting needs of identified students.
  • Experience with EHCPs and multi-agency working.
  • Awareness of current SEN practice and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide learning support to students under the SENCo.
  • Coordinate and monitor provision for students with EHCPs.
  • Liaise with staff, parents and external agencies.
  • Support the Learning Support Assistant team in class.
  • Promote inclusive teaching and raise SEND awareness.
