Job summary

Corps Security (UK) Ltd. is seeking a site-based Deputy Security Manager in Walsall to lead a team of security officers, enforce client policies, and conduct risk assessments.

You will support the Security Manager with planning, recruitment, training records, and rostering while ensuring excellent service to the client. The role requires an SIA Front‑Line Licence and a full UK driving licence; CCTV licence is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA Front-Line License (essential).
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• A valid SIA CCTV License is desirable.
• Able to achieve an Enhanced DBS check and vetting to BS7858 standards.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day operational supervision of a team of security officers.
• Safeguarding of company and client assets including people, buildings, and information.
• Implementation of security client policies.
• Undertake security threat & risk assessments.
• Identify practical areas for personal development of the team in collaboration with the Security Manager.
• Assist the Security Manager in leading, managing and motivating the team, including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning, and monitoring attendance/timekeeping.
• Update rosters in advance (preferably 3 months).
• Update training records and act as Security Manager in their absence.
• Support the Security Manager in all operational and staff matters, including meetings.
• Assist with recruitment, inductions, and probation reviews; support HR processes where applicable.
• Work closely with client management; attend operational meetings.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Corps Security and Walsall College.

  We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site-based Deputy Security Manager (DSM). Someone who has the ability to manage a security team and provide an efficient, flexible, and motivated team is pivotal to the success of this role. You will need to have excellent planning, organisational and commercial skills together with experience to recognise opportunities., Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.

• Able to achieve an EDBS and vetting to BS7858 Standards
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
