Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust in the West Midlands seeks a Deputy Superstore General Manager for our Chelmsley Wood Superstore. You will work with the Superstore Manager to drive sales, manage stock and merchandising, and lead a team of volunteers on the shop floor.

This hands-on leadership role requires weekend work, a track record of meeting sales targets, and the ability to prioritise, motivate staff and deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and experience of meeting sales targets.
• Experience of leading a team.
• Proven problem solver who can manage conflicting priorities and achieves positive outcomes.
• Happy to work weekends.
• Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling.

Responsabilités

• Drive the achievement of sales targets by proactively encouraging donations, purchases and Gift Aid sign-ups, using an entrepreneurial and creative approach to income generation.
• Support the Superstore Manager in creating a vibrant, engaging shop-floor experience that differentiates Acorns from competitors and reflects our brand values.
• Make informed decisions on stock quality, pricing, and visual merchandising to maximise appeal, sales, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee and support efficient processes for the collection, delivery, sorting, and processing of donated goods to ensure smooth superstore operations.
• Provide inspirational leadership to a diverse team of volunteers and deputy managers, motivating and supporting them by recognising their skills, experience and potential.
