Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking a Deputy Principal – Secondary for St Anthony's Catholic College, Deeragun. The role focuses on providing faith-centered leadership, aligning with Catholic Education policy, and stepping into delegated Principal responsibilities as required.

With a strong emphasis on adolescent wellbeing, contemporary pedagogy, and curriculum leadership, you will mentor staff, drive schoolwide improvement, and uphold a values-driven culture across the campus.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
• Full accreditation to teach Religious Education and QCT registration.
• Ability to lead data-informed improvement and adolescent wellbeing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the college in accordance with Catholic Education policy and practices.
• Oversee daily operations and support teaching staff within state-of-the-art facilities.
• Lead continuous improvement and innovation across the secondary campus using data.

Salary Range: $153,277 to $164,999 per annum pending experience + Super

Located in a peaceful bushland setting in Townsville's northern beaches, St Anthony's Catholic College, Deeragun is a premier P–12 institution seeking an inspiring, faith-centered educational leader to join our team as Deputy Principal - Secondary. Working alongside the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, you will assist in leading the College in alignment with Catholic Education policy, structures, and practices, stepping into the delegated Principal role as required. In this pivotal position, you will help manage daily operations, foster an inclusive, values-driven school culture, and support our committed teaching staff within state-of-the-art facilities.

With proven leadership experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education, you will empower staff through mentorship within a collaborative professional learning community. Drawing on your expertise in contemporary pedagogy, secondary curriculum pathways, and adolescent wellbeing, you will lead continuous improvement and innovation across the secondary campus.
