Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group in Ashford invites applications for a Deputy Principal position. This senior leadership role focuses on shaping educational strategy, leading on performance management, curriculum development, and ensuring outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across the college.

You will work closely with the Principal to drive improvements, engage learners in enrichment activities, and deliver on strategic objectives aligned with employer needs and student progression.

Are you a visionary educational leader with the ambition, energy, and expertise to make a lasting impact? EKC Group are seeking an exceptional Deputy Principal to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Ashford college.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and strategic leader who is passionate about developing the college site and delivering on outstanding education, driving continuous improvement, and creating opportunities that transform learners' lives

As Deputy Principal, you will support and collaborate with the Principal in leading and managing a team of staff ensuring full implementation of the Colleges’ performance management systems and you will also ensure the full engagement of learners in College enrichment and social action activities to provide opportunities for personal, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development to prepare them for progression into work or further/higher education.

Key Details:

Salary: £64,584 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours per week: 37

About You

As the successful candidate you will be a suitably qualified and a highly experienced leader who is entrepreneurial and commercially astute. We are looking for someone who will provide inspirational leadership to ensure that we maintain our values and have our strategic objectives consistently in view.

You will collaborate with the Principal on all aspects of student performance to maximise the full potential and ambitions of every student and play a key strategic role in the development and innovation of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. You will also lead on curriculum development and design to meet the needs of employers and students, both now and in the future.
