Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Deputy Principal to join the senior leadership team at Ashford college. You will lead with vision, shape strategy, and drive outstanding education, continuous improvement, and staff development.

The role requires strategic leadership, collaboration with the Principal, and responsibility for performance management systems, enrichment, and curriculum design to meet employer and learner needs now and in the future.

As Deputy Principal, you will support and collaborate with the Principal in leading and managing a team of staff ensuring full implementation of the Colleges’ performance management systems and you will also ensure the full engagement of learners in College enrichment and social action activities to provide opportunities for personal, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development to prepare them for progression into work or further/higher education.

Key Details:

Salary: £64,584 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours per week: 37

About You

As the successful candidate you will be a suitably qualified and a highly experienced leader who is entrepreneurial and commercially astute. We are looking for someone who will provide inspirational leadership to ensure that we maintain our values and have our strategic objectives consistently in view.

You will collaborate with the Principal on all aspects of student performance to maximise the full potential and ambitions of every student and play a key strategic role in the development and innovation of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. You will also lead on curriculum development and design to meet the needs of employers and students, both now and in the future.
