Job summary

Oaks Park High School is seeking a Deputy Premises Manager to support a busy site and help to maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for students, staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Premises Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the premises team, ensure high standards of maintenance and safety, and collaborate with teaching and support staff as well as external agencies. This role offers opportunities for progression within facilities management.

Qualifications

• This is a non-teaching role with clear progression into premises management.
• Requires ability to work with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Safeguarding and DBS checks are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the premises team under the Premises Manager.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance standards across the site.
• Support health and safety compliance and create a safe, welcoming environment.

The Deputy Premises Manager plays a key role in ensuring that the school site is safe, secure, clean, well-maintained and fully operational at all times. Supporting the Premises Manager, the postholder will help to lead the day-to-day operation of the premises team, oversee cleaning and maintenance standards, support health and safety compliance, and ensure that the school provides an excellent environment for students, staff and visitors.

You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
