Required: 5+ years in plant maintenance with supervisory experience; qualifications such as HNC/HND/NVQ3 in mechanical/electrical engineering. Full-time, hybrid role offering £40,000–£46,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in plant maintenance or related field with supervisory experience.
• HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or related discipline.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent is desirable.
• Leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills; IT proficiency and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations Support: Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance activities across all sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Team Supervision: Help supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory, liaise with suppliers, and support cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Budget and Cost Control: Assist in controlling maintenance expenditure and improving efficiency.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with legal standards and promote a positive health and safety culture.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes and systems.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, ensuring safe and efficient restoration of operations.
