Job summary

MiChild Group in Blackpool is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the nursery leadership and oversee daily operations.

This full-time role (40 hours per week) offers a competitive hourly salary of £16.50, a £500 Love2Shop voucher on probation, and a range of benefits within a supportive, award-winning team environment.

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Demonstrates robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness
• Has experience leading a team and assisting the nursery manager in day-to-day operations

Meadow Nursery is a vibrant, nurturing setting based on the outskirts of Blackpool town centre on Whitegate drive. With excellent public transport links and free onsite parking, we’re easy to get to whether you drive or take public transport.

Our setting includes four well-equipped rooms, each tailored to a specific age group and led by a team trained specifically for that developmental stage, we support our team to feel confident within the age group they work with and support training needs. What We’re Looking For:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)*
• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Demonstrates robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness
• Has experience leading a team and assisting the nursery manager in the day to day operations of the setting
• Leads be example, modelling excellent quality of care and education of all children

**Please note this is a full time role for 40 hours per week**

Shift Patterns:

This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule to ensure coverage and flexibility. You will alternate between early and late shifts on a week-by-week basis.

• Early Shift: 7.30am -4.00pm
• Middle Shifts: 8.00am -5.00pm or 8.30am to 5.30pm
• Late Shift: 9.30am-6.00pm
