Job summary

Premier Lodge Day Nursery in Sidcup is recruiting a full-time Deputy Manager to support the Manager in delivering high-quality early years education. You will help plan curricula, oversee staff deployments and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a home-from-home ethos for children.

The role includes safeguarding, liaising with parents, maintaining records, and leading on training and appraisal needs with the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven experience running a similar early years setting.
• Solid understanding of EYFS requirements and safeguarding.
• Ability to lead a team and manage staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Draw up long, medium and weekly curriculum plans aligned with EYFS.
• Ensure effective deployment of staff, work experience and resources.
• Supervise daily nursery activities and events with the Manager.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals; monitor progress and welfare.
