Job summary

Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool in Dartford, Kent, seeks a Deputy Manager to lead a dedicated team, delivering exceptional care and education. You will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed across daily operations.

You will drive staff development, support succession planning, and nurture partnerships with families and the Local Authority while helping maintain budgetary health and occupancy growth.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years leadership role.
• Experience with regulatory inspections leading to Good/Outstanding.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and oversee safeguarding policies.
• Contribute to succession planning and staff development plans.
• Maintain strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, and Local Authority.
• Support nursery commercial success through occupancy and budgeting.
