Job summary

Bright Horizons Didsbury is recruiting a Deputy Manager to lead a dedicated early years team in Manchester. You will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, oversee day‑to‑day nursery operations and drive high standards of care and education.

You will support safeguarding compliance, staff development, and build strong partnerships with parents and Local Authority colleagues to sustain occupancy and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Early Years teams and driving impact.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection practices.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the nursery team to deliver high‑quality care and education.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding policies.
• Contribute to succession planning, staff training and development plans.
• Maintain partnerships with Local Authority, parents and professionals.
• Support nursery occupancy, budgets and overall commercial success.
