Job summary

Townsend Montessori Nursery Faversham is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in leading and inspiring the team while maintaining excellence in base room responsibilities.

You will lead and mentor the staff to deliver high-quality early years education, oversee operations, and foster collaboration with families and external agencies. A Level 3 Early Years qualification is required, and the role offers 40 hours per week in Faversham.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience leading nursery staff and supporting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education.
• Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all nursery operations.
• Act as a role model, fostering initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Build partnerships with families and external agencies for optimal outcomes.
• Monitor EYFS implementation to ensure engaging learning opportunities.
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
• Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that respects every child’s needs.
