Job summary

Fennies Day Nurseries Ltd is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education. You will lead a passionate team, uphold safeguarding standards and drive operational excellence across the nursery.

The role offers leadership development, mentoring and a supportive central team, with a strong focus on Ofsted readiness and continuous improvement. A competitive salary and bonus package is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Birth to 5 Matters and child development.
• Experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior practitioner or room leader role.
• Track record of delivering high standards of care and education.
• Experience of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the nursery.
• Inspire and guide educators to deliver outstanding early years practice.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support team development through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and maintain regulatory standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of educational quality and nursery performance.
