Job summary

Royal Hospital School in Ipswich is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support leadership of the newly opened nursery. You will drive progress, work with the Nursery Manager, and help ensure a happy, secure learning start for our youngest pupils.

Experience in deputy/manager roles is beneficial. Good knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding is essential; knowledge of financial processes and staff development is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years curriculum and safeguarding guidance.
• Recent experience in a childcare setting with deputy/management exposure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor the Early Years curriculum in the nursery.
• Support Nursery Manager and lead day-to-day nursery operations.
• Maintain accurate records including occupancy and training records.
• Contribute to staff development and recruitment activities.
