Family First Nurseries Group is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager for CherryHarbour Nursery on Hayling Island, United Kingdom. You will help lead a caring team and ensure high standards of safety, education and wellbeing for children in a welcoming setting.

The role is full-time (40 hours, Mon-Fri) with a salary up to £34,500. Benefits include a 75% childcare discount, 33 days of paid holiday, training and development, pension, and wellbeing support. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.
• At least one year of experience in an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements.
• At least one year in a management position.
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership.
• Experience of supporting or leading an Ofsted inspection resulting in Good or Outstanding.

Responsibilities

• Child Safety & Safeguarding: Promote safety and wellbeing of children, staff, parents and visitors.
• EYFS & Compliance: Support EYFS framework and regulatory requirements.
• Care & Medication: Manage medication procedures and care plans.
• Learning & Development: Ensure age-appropriate experiences and development.
• Team Leadership: Motivate colleagues and promote high standards.
• Communication & Relationships: Build positive relationships with families and colleagues.
• Administration: Maintain records and accounts using EyMan and files.
• Nursery Operations: Support day-to-day running of the nursery with management team.
