Job summary
Protocol Education is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager for a thriving nursery in LS28. You will support the Nursery Manager in delivering outstanding care and education for children, and lead with confidence in a busy setting.
The role offers leadership progression while staying involved in a hands-on educational environment, with a focus on safeguarding, EYFS compliance, and staff development.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years Qualification (minimum)
- Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting
- Experience in senior practitioner/leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional childcare and education
- Monitor children's progress and ensure EYFS standards are met
- Conduct observations, assessments, and support planning for learning and development
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management
- Act as the Nursery Manager in their absence
