Job summary

Family First's Coton Day Nursery in the United Kingdom is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support daily operations and lead a caring team. This 40-hour weekly role emphasizes safety, EYFS standards, and high-quality early years education in a nature-rich setting.

You will work closely with the Nursery Manager, promote safeguarding, manage learning activities, and build strong relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.
• At least one year of experience working in an Early Years setting.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements.
• At least one year of experience in a management position.
• Experience of successfully supporting or leading an Ofsted inspection resulting in a Good or Outstanding outcome.

Responsibilities

• Promote child safety and safeguarding at all times.
• Support EYFS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Help manage medication procedures and care plans for children and staff.
• Ensure stimulating, age-appropriate experiences and environments.
• Motivate and inspire colleagues, supporting professional growth.
• Build positive relationships with families and colleagues through clear communication.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts using EyMan system.
• Collaborate with management to run the nursery smoothly.
