Job summary

Marylebone Services is assisting a brand-new, small Montessori-inspired nursery in Marylebone, London (W1U) by recruiting a qualified Deputy Manager to work closely with the Nursery Manager. The role is fully full-time, predominantly room-based with an admin day on Thursdays, and offers a competitive salary in the £31,750–£34,000 band.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent recognised UK childcare qualification).
• Proven leadership experience in a UK nursery (e.g., Third-in-Charge, Room Leader, or Deputy).
• Montessori experience or genuine interest is desirable.
• A clear Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo a new one).
• Right to Work in the UK is required.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Room-based

This is a full-time opportunity offering a fantastic work-life balance with a 4-day working week. Shifts operate between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Marylebone Services is delighted to assist a brand-new, small Montessori-inspired nursery in Marylebone, London (W1U), in finding a qualified, experienced, and dedicated full-time Deputy Manager to work closely alongside the Nursery Manager.

This charming, family-focused boutique nursery caters to a maximum of 29 children aged 3 months to 5 years, providing a warm, calm, and natural environment combining Montessori principles with Forest School learning.

The Role

The position offers a perfect blend of hands-on early years care and leadership. It is predominantly room-based, focused on supporting practitioners and overseeing daily practice. However, Thursdays are completely dedicated to administrative and managerial responsibilities out of the rooms.
