Job summary

The role focuses on the preschool room initially, with progression to office-based management and a structured handover ahead of maternity cover. Requires Level 3 EYFS qualification and Room Leader experience; salary £34,000 p.a. and 40–41.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification required.

Deputy Nursery Manager

£34,000 per annum

40–41.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm

You will be joining an established early years nursery in Amersham, supporting the day-to-day running of a setting catering for children aged three months to five years. The role will initially focus on the preschool room, working with a group of around 20 children, before transitioning towards a more office-based management position.

You will work alongside the existing Deputy Manager, providing an opportunity to learn the setting’s procedures and responsibilities ahead of a planned maternity leave cover arrangement. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to an experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in nursery management.
