FBC Manby Bowdler LLP is seeking a Deputy MLRO & HOLP (Solicitor 5+ PQE) to strengthen our compliance function. The role involves day-to-day support for AML, governance and regulatory obligations, working with senior leadership to uphold high professional standards, and delivering training across the firm.

You will provide strategic compliance input, manage risk, advise on policy development and assist with regulatory reporting and audits in a dynamic legal environment.

Qualifications

• UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in legal risk, compliance, governance or regulatory matters within a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of the SRA Standards and Regulations, Code of Conduct and Accounts Rules.
• Experience supporting compliance officers and managing regulatory obligations.
• Practical AML expertise, including client due diligence, source of funds/source of wealth investigations and sanctions compliance.
• Experience drafting and implementing policies and procedures.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections or thematic reviews.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Act as deputy to HOLP, MLCO and MLRO.
• Assist with breach assessments, investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Support AML framework, including annual risk assessments, monitoring and policy reviews.
• Advise on AML compliance matters, client due diligence and sanctions compliance.
• Maintain risk registers and assist with complaints handling and monitoring.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes to legal and support teams.
• Produce compliance reports and MI for senior leadership.
• Draft, review and implement policies, procedures and guidance.
• Support internal audits, regulatory inspections and thematic reviews.
