Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency seeks a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join a financial services team in the United Kingdom. The role supports the MLRO in implementing the MLRO framework and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organisation.

You will help maintain operational integrity and manage compliance risks. Key duties include analysing activities for risk, escalating issues promptly, and advising management on regulatory developments and inspections.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience in a compliance role within the financial industry.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and banking products.
• Experience in fraud detection and legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse operational activities to identify compliance risks and ensure adherence to frameworks.
• Report material compliance issues using escalation and reporting mechanisms.
• Advise management and staff on regulatory matters and developments.
• Inform senior figures about regulatory inspections and information requests.
• In the absence of MLRO, handle SARs and liaise with authorities, manage tipping-off risks.
