Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Deputy Manager for an OFSTED-registered children’s home in Crawley. You will support the Registered Manager, lead day-to-day operations, and ensure high-quality care for children in a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate has management experience in a registered children's home, strong organisational and communication skills, and is committed to safeguarding and staff development. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in a registered children’s home environment.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legal requirements.
• IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to support appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial leadership to day-to-day operation of the home.
• Assess, plan and review needs of children for personalised care.
• Undertake specialist assessments and care planning.
• Attend meetings for all children and manage files including risk assessments and education records.
• Supervise and develop staff, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
