Job summary

Avon Search is seeking a Deputy Manager (Homecare) in Boldon, South Tyneside to assist the Registered Manager in delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will lead care staff, coordinate assessments and care plans, and contribute to safeguarding and audits.

This is a hybrid office/field role with some home working; the salary starts at £29,000+ for a full‑time contract. You will join a supportive team, receive training and development, and may have an extension beyond the initial

Qualifications

• Experience in adult social care, ideally domiciliary care.
• Experience supervising or leading care staff.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join an established home care provider, supporting the Registered Manager in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

This is a varied hybrid office and field-based role, with some home working available where appropriate.

The Role

You’ll help lead the service, supporting Care Assistants and ensuring customers receive the highest standards of care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Registered Manager
• Leading and developing care staff
• Customer assessments, reviews and care plans
• Safeguarding, audits and compliance
• Managing incidents, complaints and risks
• Supporting recruitment, supervisions and appraisals
• Working with customers, families and professionals
• Deputising for the Registered Manager
• Participating in the on-call rota

About You

We’re looking for someone with:
