Job summary

White Stuff is seeking a Deputy Manager to drive trade by leading our Shop teams at a Gatwick area location. You will monitor KPI performance, motivate staff and ensure a best-in-class shopping experience, deputising for the Shop Manager when required.

You will manage sales, service, stock and events, while upholding the Made for Change and ethical sourcing values and working closely with the local community. A strong focus on team development and customer engagement is essential.

Responsibilities

• Leads team briefs to ensure knowledge and motivation to achieve targets
• Reviews customer feedback and ensures customers feel welcome and at home in stores
• Plans and organises events, including customer events
• Motivates and inspires the team to achieve KPI performance through great customer experiences
• Drives meaningful conversations with customers to understand needs and purchasing decisions
• Ensures staff understand product features to support styling and buying decisions
• Works with Shop Manager to attract, recruit, and retain high calibre staff
• Encourages gathering customer information and identifies marketing opportunities to drive sales
• Maintains shop standards, evaluates floor layouts and sales trends, and reacts to commercial opportunities
• Supports budget adherence and maintains relationships with local charity partners
• Promotes Made for Change products and ethical sourcing awareness within the team
