Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Deputy Manager – Community Support Bedded Unit in Buxton. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high-quality 24-hour reablement and assessment services, while supporting safe operations and continuous service improvement.

You will work across a 7-day service with flexible hours, contributing to staffing, governance, and patient-focused care in a community setting within High Peak.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience)
• NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management in Care (or willingness to work towards)
• Evidence of continuous professional development and knowledge of CQC regulations
• Experience supervising or leading staff teams and safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to care and support teams
• Oversee staff supervision, appraisals, performance and attendance management
• Coordinate staffing and rota management for safe staffing levels
• Support admissions, reablement, and discharge pathways in collaboration with health and social care professionals
