Job summary

Balhousie Care Group is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in Dundee-based care home operations. You will lead a caring team, uphold regulatory standards and ensure the delivery of person-centred care to residents.

The role requires an NMC PIN, leadership skills and a commitment to residents’ dignity and well-being. PVG checks and UK work eligibility are required; full-time hours and on-site work are implied.

Qualifications

• Qualified RGN/RMN with a valid NMC PIN.
• Experience leading a care home team is desirable.
• Knowledge of Care Inspectorate requirements is beneficial.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Manager at BCG, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day operations of the care home. You will lead our dedicated team with passion and commitment, fostering strong relationships with residents, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents in line with BCG's policies and procedures and all external regulatory requirements.

Your role will extend beyond meeting professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. You will provide specialist nursing support and advice, take responsibility for resident care in the absence of the Home Manager. You will supervise and coach colleagues to deliver Care That Makes The Difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote our residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the highest standards of care and continuously striving for improvement.
• Ensure strict compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations to uphold quality standards.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, fostering effective communication with residents, families, staff and other stakeholders.

About You:

You are a qualified RGN/RMN with a valid NMC PIN , possessing up to date clinical practices and strong leadership skills. You have a background in person-centred care planning ideally within a care home environment. Additionally, you are compassionate, resilient, and determined to provide the high standard of care that our residents deserve.
