Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Deputy Manager for a 2-bed children's home in Selby, YO8. The role supports the Registered Manager, maintains high-quality, safe and nurturing care, and helps sustain Ofsted Good status.

The post involves 2-on 4-off shifts from 8am to 10:30pm, with a basic salary of £37,667 plus £80 sleep-in payments. Benefits include leave, training support, and wellbeing provisions.

Formación

• Previous experience in a children's residential care setting.
• A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake fully funded training and qualifications.
• Strong safeguarding, care planning and standards understanding.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the 2-bed children\'s home.
• Help maintain Ofsted Good rating through high-quality care.
• Provide guidance and supervision to residential childcare team.
• Ensure safe, nurturing and individualised care for children and young people.
• Support care plan reviews, risk assessments and behaviour strategies.
• Promote safeguarding and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records in line with legislation and policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Contribute to staff development and continuous improvement.
