Job summary

SNG Healthcare Limited is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a 4-bed children’s residential home in Soham, CB7. The role focuses on supporting the Registered Manager, ensuring safe, high-quality care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will lead staff, manage safeguarding, and oversee care plans and risk assessments. The post offers a structured 8:00am–8:00pm shift with sleep-ins included where needed and opportunities to progress within the sector.

Qualifications

• A positive, caring and compassionate approach to supporting children and young people.
• Experience working within a children's residential setting.
• Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Previous experience in a senior or management position within children's residential care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home.
• Oversee care plans and risk assessments to ensure high quality care.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the staff team.
• Maintain safeguarding and compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
