Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks a Deputy Children\'s Home Manager in the Basingstoke area. You will lead shift operations, care planning and staff management for children with emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting.

The role requires experience in residential care, safeguarding, and a strong track record in managing shifts and developing individual care plans. A sleep-in allowance is provided in addition to the base salary.

Responsibilities

• Create care plans and assessments.
• Manage rotas and supervise staff.
• Deputise in absence of the manager.
• Care for and assist children in daily life (including cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping).
• Implement individual placement plans by staff and other professionals.
• Safeguard the young people in care.
• Supervise Residential Support Workers.
• Ensure timely completion of reports.
• Handle On-Call duties when required.

Job description

On behalf of my client we are recruiting for aDeputy Children's Home Managerto join their organisation within the Basingstoke area. You must have previousexperienceworking with children with emotional and behavioural needs.You must ideally have your QCF Level 3 in children & young adults and have at least 2 years experience caring for children with EBD. Experience of working within residential settings. Shift Leading/Management Experience

You will be required to create care plans and assessments. Rotas and staff management. Deputising in absence of the manager. Caring for and assisting children in their everyday lives. Carrying out tasks such as cooking, cleaning laundry, shopping. Taking responsibility for the implementation of the individual placement plans for the children by staff and other professionals. Safeguarding the young people in your care. Shift Leading. Supervision of Residential Support Workers Ensuring reports are completed in a timely fashion. Dealing with the On Call if needed.

The salary is £27,000-£30,000 plus an additional £35 for a sleep in
