Job summary

VOYAGE CARE is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead our supported living services in Reading. The role involves guiding a team, developing person-centred plans, and supporting individuals to gain independence.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager and be involved in on-call duties. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, prior care management experience, and a passion for improving quality of life for the people we support, including those with autism and learning

Qualifications

• Experience in care management or supervisory roles.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with autism, learning disabilities, mental health, and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Develop person-centred support plans.
• Conduct care needs assessments and supervise staff.
• Recruitment, induction, and appraisals for new colleagues.
• Complete medication competencies and audits.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and assist Registered Manager.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Manager to join us in leading our supported living services / DCA Office in Reading. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people! Our Deputy Service Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. No day is ever the same, Some of the things you would be doing ;

• Developing and implementing person centred support plans
• Conducting care needs assessments, recruiting, and inducting new colleagues and completing supervisions/appraisals.
• Completing medication competencies and medication audits,
• Attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our community service.

You will also take part in the on-call rota (although this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the service). This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to the lives of others, whether that's helping our colleagues grow in confidence or the people we support gain independence so that they meet their goals.

We're interested in our Deputy Service Managers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Supported Living Deputy Manager should have previous experience in a care management role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired with learning disabilities, Autism, mental health needs, and challenging behaviours.
