The Old Orchard is a picturesque 5-bedroom bungalow situated in the large village of Radcliffe-on-Trent, overlooking the River Trent! We support adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities with associated sensory needs to live the life they love!
The individuals we support here at The Old Orchard love all things cooking, we're often found in the kitchen cooking up a storm and making all sorts of culinary delights! As a Deputy Manager you will assist the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home, this includes ensuring that the needs of the service users are met, managing the staff team, monitoring the quality of care and support, ensuring high standards of professional practice, whilst achieving compliance with external regulatory standards.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, the post holder will work to ensure that specialist and quality care and support for service users is maintained through assisting in the planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of service user care and support. The Deputy Manager's will also be required to ensure that policies, procedures, systems and workplace practices are fully implemented and consistently applied.

In this role you will be expected to:

• Demonstrate written communication skills, sufficient to contribute to a record keeping system.
• Be able to demonstrate a warm, person centred and affirmative approach to the individuals we support.
• Be able to remain compassionate, and professional during challenging times.
• Be willing to work alongside clinical professionals

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Leader to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management and quality delivery of person-centred services.
• Promote the health, safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of people we support and staff teams.
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop support staff through recruitment, induction, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, safeguarding requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor service quality, risk assessments, medication management, and care planning to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage staff rotas and deployment to maintain safe staffing levels and meet individual needs.
• Conduct audits, supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to support service growth and excellent outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records using company IT systems and contribute to effective budget and resource management.
• Act as a positive role model and provide leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager.
