Job summary

Top Recruit is partnering with a growing childrens' care provider to appoint an experienced Deputy Manager for a brand-new children’s home in Croydon. The role focuses on preparing for Ofsted registration and delivering a safe, nurturing environment for boys aged 11–17.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager, lead the care team, drive safeguarding and care planning, and ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a children's residential care setting.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and children's care regulations.
• A caring, resilient and positive approach.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
• Lead, support and motivate the residential care team.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare are always a priority.
• Support care plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour management.
• Build strong relationships with young people and external professionals.
• Help ensure the home meets Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.

Job description

Top Recruit is working with a growing childrens' care provider who are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join their new childrens' home.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the home as it prepares for Ofsted registration and play an important role in establishing a positive, safe and supportive environment for boys aged 11–17.

Working closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team, you will support the day-to-day running of the home, lead and motivate the care team, and ensure the young people receive the highest standard of care and support.

The Role of Deputy Manager:

• Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
• Leading, supporting and motivating the residential care team.
