Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking a proactive Deputy Home Manager for Sir Aubrey Ward House in Marlow to lead shifts, plan rosters, recruit and train staff, and support the Home Manager in maintaining high-quality resident care.

You will drive occupancy, oversee care standards, and manage budgets while fostering a compassionate, collaborative team environment within a not-for-profit care setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to progress to Level 4 or 5.
• Previous management experience in an elderly care setting.
• Some marketing and finance experience to support occupancy and cost management.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Rota planning and staff scheduling.
• Recruitment and induction of new staff; mandatory training oversight.
• Monitor and manage staff performance; address issues through appropriate channels.
• Support the Home Manager in running the home and sustaining high care standards.
• Help grow occupancy and manage costs through marketing and financial awareness.
