Job summary

CareTech seeks a Deputy Home Manager for our residential home in Telford, supporting up to 6 young people with learning disabilities. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care in a nurturing, safeguarding-focused environment.

The role requires Level 4 CYPP or equivalent, a full driving licence, and willingness to work evenings, nights and weekends. A car is provided during shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Residential Childcare Environment.
• Driver with a car provided during working hours.
• Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for up to 6 young people.
• Safeguard and maintain the wellbeing of children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism, epilepsy.
• Promote inclusive activities and communicate effectively with families and professionals.

The home can accommodate up to 6 Young people, all the Children & Young People we support have a learning disabilities, Autism, epilepsy and can display some associated behaviours. Many of our children (not all) are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate with us through different methods such as picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.
