Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a Deputy Head Teacher for a small SEND trust focused on children’s development. You will shape school strategy, drive standards, and work with the Headteacher to raise achievement and culture.

We value senior leadership experience, a strong understanding of teaching and learning, and clear communication with staff, governors, parents and pupils. DBS checks and safeguarding are integral to the appointment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience - a Deputy or aspiring Deputy Head Teacher.
• Strong understanding of teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Confident verbal and written communication with staff, governors, parents, and children.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Strong commitment to leadership, pupil outcomes, and school growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire whilst aligning daily operations with long-term school goals.
• Shape future aspirations through clear strategy and high expectations for learners.
• Collaborate with the Headteacher to drive standards, culture and whole-school growth.
• Support staff development and strengthen teaching and learning across the school.
• Balance day-to-day management with strategic, safeguarding-focused planning.
• Communicate effectively with staff, governors, parents and children.
