Job summary

Bricklehurst Manor School, part of Outcomes First Group, seeks a Deputy Headteacher – Teaching & Learning to join our senior leadership team. You will help shape teaching quality, curriculum development, assessment and staff development to raise outcomes for students with complex needs.

We require QTS and significant leadership experience in education, with a focus on trauma-informed and therapeutically aligned practice. Collaboration across education, therapy and pastoral teams is essential.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and evidence of leadership in an education setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment and effective pedagogy.
• Proven track record of improving teaching and learning.
• Excellent coaching, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data to drive improvement and raise standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
• Drive school improvement priorities and contribute to strategic planning.
• Monitor and improve teaching quality through coaching, observations and QA activities.
• Lead development of an ambitious, engaging and trauma-informed curriculum.
• Oversee assessment, progress tracking and reporting systems.
• Use data to identify trends, remove barriers and improve student outcomes.
• Lead professional development and grow future school leaders.
• Work with therapeutic and pastoral teams for integrated education.
