Job summary

Bricklehurst Manor School in Stonegate is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher - Teaching & Learning to join our senior leadership. You will lead on teaching quality, curriculum development and assessment to ensure every student receives an engaging, ambitious education.

You will work with the Headteacher to drive improvement, develop staff, use data to raise standards and deliver a trauma-informed, inclusive approach that supports students with additional needs to achieve strong outcomes.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Significant leadership experience within an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment and effective pedagogy.
• Proven track record of improving teaching and learning.
• Excellent coaching, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to use data effectively to drive improvement and raise standards.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and achieving the very best outcomes for every student.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
• Driving school improvement priorities and contributing to strategic planning.
• Monitoring and improving the quality of teaching through coaching, observations and quality assurance activities.
• Leading the development of an ambitious, engaging and trauma-informed curriculum.
• Overseeing assessment, progress tracking and reporting systems.
• Using data to identify trends, remove barriers and improve student outcomes.
• Leading professional development and supporting the growth of future school leaders.
• Working closely with therapeutic and pastoral teams to create an integrated approach to education.
• Supporting wider school operations, staffing and resource planning.
• Deputising for the Headteacher when required
