Job summary

Polaris Education – ISP Battle School is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to lead safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion across KS3-4. You will act as a senior leader, shaping curriculum, assessment, and whole-school development while supporting vulnerable pupils and families in a therapeutic environment.

The role requires QTS, strong leadership experience and a commitment to high-quality teaching for SEND learners in a добer community setting.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience delivering curriculum for SEND.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, pupils and families.
• Experience leading and managing teams in a therapeutic, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion safeguarding by leading safeguarding practice per statutory requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership for behaviour and attendance using data-driven approaches.
• Ensure high-quality teaching with inclusion and differentiated instruction for SEND pupils.
• Assess, monitor, and report pupil progress and outcomes.
• Prepare pupils for external examinations where required.
• Contribute to school-wide strategy and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals to secure best outcomes.
