Job summary

Poringland Primary School and Nursery is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team from January 2027. The successful candidate will work alongside the Headteacher to drive school improvement, maintain high standards in teaching, behaviour and inclusion, and shape strategic direction.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position in a large, inclusive primary school near Norwich. Leadership scale L8-L12; salary £63,688–£70,275 per annum, subject to experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive forward the next stage of the school's development and shape the strategic direction while ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and inclusion.
• Collaborate with the Headteacher to develop staff practice and monitor impact of improvement initiatives.
• Quality assure all aspects of the school's provision and lead improvement to secure better outcomes for children.
