Job summary

Orchard Manor School in England is seeking an experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team. You will work closely with the Headteacher to drive school improvement, lead curriculum development across Explore, Discovery and Investigate pathways, and raise the standard of teaching and learning across the school.

• Strong track record of leading educational development and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Working as a cohesive member of the school staff team, including becoming a proactive, solution‑focussed, positive thinking member of the School's Senior Leadership Team.
• Engage in high-quality communication with parents / guardians of pupils and external agencies.
• Inspirational leadership and proactive management; encourage, motivate and support staff, promote high-quality teamwork.
• Lead and manage the development of intervention strategies, teaching and learning to ensure progress of all pupils.
• Ensure ongoing monitoring, evaluation and development of the curriculum to meet identified needs.
• Ensure high standards of teaching to deliver OFSTED‑level quality and regular assessment.
• Lead and manage the moderation/internal verification of all assessment.
• Develop a culture of self‑evaluation that promotes professional growth.
