Job Description:

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of an in-house legal services team within the emergency services/public sector, based in Hertfordshire, for a Deputy Head of Legal Services on a full-time and permanent basis.

Working alongside the Head of Legal Services, you will lead a team of approximately 12 staff, handling civil litigation and employment claims, with direct line management for at least 2 civil investigators and 2 insurance officers.

This role offers hybrid working and flexi-time options. Candidates should be local to Hertfordshire to attend meetings, training, and court hearings as required.

• An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive with at least 3 years’ PQE
• Experienced in civil litigation and employment matters
• Experienced in line management
• Able to attend the office and court on a hybrid basis

The salary ranges from £52,400 to £63,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
