Job summary

THE PIG Hotels (Home Grown Hotels) is seeking a Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the Head Housekeeper with the smooth running of the housekeeping team and to lead Room Attendants and Linen Porters on a day-to-day basis. The role focuses on maintaining immaculate bedrooms and public areas, delivering an outstanding guest experience.

• Assist Head Housekeeper by supporting and developing a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters.
• Set an example, encourage development, and carry out monthly performance reviews.
• Lead the team from the front-line to deliver high standards across the hotel.
• Prepare and oversee cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas.
• In Head Housekeeper's absence, take responsibility for furnishings, fittings and equipment.
• Liaise with maintenance and manage linen, deliveries & stock.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Deputy Head Housekeeper to support our Head Housekeeper with the efficient running of our housekeeping team. Some may say the housekeeping team are the backbone of the hotel operation. For our housekeeping team it is not just about making beds, it is about having an eye for detail and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience. As Deputy Head Housekeeper you will be assisting the Head Housekeeper by supporting and developing a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters. You will be required to set an example, encourage their development, and carry out monthly performance reviews. You will be proactive and hands on, leading the team from the front-line to deliver exceptional levels of standards across all areas of the hotel. On a day to day basis, you will play a key role with the preparation and cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas. In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, you will take responsibility for ensuring the condition of all furnishings, fittings and equipment. You will need to liaise with the maintenance team and manage all linen, deliveries & stock.
