Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Deputy Head of Media, Music and Performing Arts to lead curriculum development and drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across the department.

You will work with the Head of Department to shape strategic priorities, monitor performance indicators such as retention, achievement and attendance, and implement the department’s Quality Improvement Plan to secure outstanding student outcomes in the creative industries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised teaching qualification and have FE experience.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver staff appraisals and observations.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and delivery across Media, Music and Performing Arts.
• Govern and monitor programme quality via KPI data (retention, achievement, attendance, satisfaction).
• Own and implement the department's Quality Improvement Plan and drive continuous improvement.
