Job summary

Nightcap PLC, owner of The Cocktail Club, seeks a Deputy General Manager to lead busy shifts and oversee daily operations while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

You'll be prepared to cover a General Manager for up to four weeks, manage P&L, stock, and targets, develop a high-performing team, and drive safe, compliant, five-star service across our venues.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience managing a busy high-volume bar.
• Confident with handling money and strong business acumen.
• Excellent leadership, training, and team-building skills.
• Methodical, thorough, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Approachable with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Hands-on manager who can dive behind the bar when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and run busy shifts to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Be able to operate the site in the GM's absence for up to 4 weeks.
• Manage P&L, stock control, targets, and reporting.
• Generate innovative ideas to make the bar the best place to visit and work.
• Lead and develop a team, motivating for 5-star service.
• Ensure licenses, risk assessments, and health & safety standards are met.
• Organise team rotas and manage labour efficiently.

What We Need:

Responsibilities:

• The ability to run their site without the General Manager for 4 weeks.
• Handle P&L management, stock control, meeting targets, and submitting reports.
• Be a creative manager, coming up with innovative ideas to make your bar the best place to visit and work.
• Manage and develop a team of professionals, inspiring and incentivise them to deliver 5-star service.
• Ensure compliance with licenses, risk assessments, and health & safety standards.
• Organize team rotas and efficiently manage labour.

Skills and Experience:

• At least x1 year experience managing a busy high-volume bar.
• Confident with handling money and strong business acumen.
