Job Description

As the Deputy General Manager, you will support the General Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations at a high-profile legal client site. This hands-on leadership role requires strong financial acumen, excellent organisational skills, and experience managing large, diverse teams.

You will work closely with the senior operations team, chefs, and front-of-house staff to deliver flawless service and exceptional food and drink experiences.

The ideal candidate will be confident, commercially aware, and capable of maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Building strong client relationships, understanding briefs, and executing every detail with quality and a human touch are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in daily operations, acting as second-in-command and stepping in when needed.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies including Food Safety, Health & Safety, GDPR, etc.
• Deliver and monitor staff training to uphold service and operational standards, including casual and agency staff.
• Collaborate with chefs and service leads to ensure excellent delivery of food and drinks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and executing briefs to high standards.
• Contribute to sales growth, budget management, and cost control.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Passion for managing, training, and supporting teams to achieve their best.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in contract catering or hospitality.
• Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
• Strong supervisory, communication, and influencing skills.
• Demonstrable analytical problem-solving skills.
• Passion for food and customer service.
