A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Deputy Estate Service Operative to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for vulnerable tenants. This role involves conducting welfare checks, maintaining safety protocols, and liaising with housing officers. The Deputy Estate Service Operative will be based at Brickfield House, a block designated for vulnerable temporary accommodation tenants. The role focuses on ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, conducting welfare checks, maintaining clear escape routes, and keeping signage and information up to date.
Applicants should have experience in estate maintenance or a similar role, a working knowledge of health and safety procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and council officers. Attending local training on new tools, equipment and cleaning techniques is required.
Weekend shift pattern (Wednesday to Sunday) at 36 hours per week.
